À propos de l'événement

For the English language program coordinators, elementary teachers, language specialists and school leaders in our community. Roberta will share her experience in combining the Montessori method with Cambridge and National Exams. She will explore strategies to enhance students' language proficiency in listening, speaking, writing and reading skills.

Evaluating students is always a debated aspect in our schools: how and what to evaluate in a Montessori environment. A focus will be made on how to analyze the results. Finally she will address the question of whether offering such exams is useful for obtaining reliable feedback that will empower the children academically and beyond.

Roberta is currently an English teacher at Fondazione Scuola Montessori of Bergamo where she is also the coordinator of the project "Focus on English: A Way to Bilingualism." She has a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from Università degli Studi di Bergamo, a masters in Montessori Pedagogy for 3 to 6 years old and she holds a professional Counsellor diploma for Schools and Families. Roberta is a senior member of L2 Commission Rete Montessori Lombardia. She studied in Bergamo but also at The University of Hull (Erasmus) where she got in touch with a multicultural environment. She has always been interested in developing strategies to help students succeed in language acquisition. She believes that a Montessori approach is key in education.
